In class writing
After reading the first few chapters of "The Help", I believe the author was right buy using a different way to express people thoughts, and the way they talk, depending on the character. Like in any other story, the author tries to get people involve into the story, get connected, and in a certain way live what she wrote. So, the book is written in a time where there were strong differences between whites, and coloured people, and one of those was the way they speak. Is that a stereotype? May be, but it is the way things were back then, and she did not change things to write the book, I think she tried to stick the closest to reality she could. And it actually get you involve, understand, and see the story the author wants you to.
